Cookie Policy

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file the site stores in your browser to remember something between pages or between visits: that you are signed in, which language you chose, or what you answered in the cookie banner. This page lists every cookie the site uses and completes the cookies section of the privacy policy.

2. Cookies on this site

NamePurposeTypeLifetime
memoagent_tokenKeeps you signed in. HttpOnly, not readable by scripts.Necessary7 days (24 hours for the administrator)
memo-langThe interface language you chose, so pages load in it right away.Necessary1 year
memo-consentYour choice in the cookie banner (accept or decline). Also kept in the browser's local storage.Necessary1 year
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4: usage statistics, which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked.Statistics, with consent onlyUp to 2 years
_fbp, _fbcMeta Pixel: measuring advertising campaigns.Marketing, with consent only90 days
ma_first_touchHow you first reached the site: a search engine, a referring link or campaign tags. Used by us alone to see which marketing channel works, and never sent to Google, Meta or anyone else.Statistics, with consent only90 days

3. What happens without consent

Until you accept, no statistics or marketing cookie is stored. The Google Analytics tag loads in "consent denied" state (Google Consent Mode): in that state it sets no cookies, creates no persistent identifier, and sends Google only an anonymous count of page views. The Meta Pixel script is not loaded at all without consent.

Our own arrival-source cookie is not stored without consent either. Instead the source is held in the browser's memory for the current visit alone and is gone when the tab closes: register during that visit and it is recorded on your account, come back on a later visit and we simply will not know. Nothing is written to your device.

Events the server reports on its own, such as a confirmed purchase or joining a memorial, are sent to Google and Meta only if you accepted statistics and marketing cookies. When you are signed in, your banner choice is also recorded on your account, so a purchase report honours it even when it arrives from the payment provider rather than from your browser.

4. Changing your choice

You can change your choice at any time. The following button forgets the earlier choice and shows the banner again: . The same button is available at the bottom of the site, except on the chat screens where the footer is hidden. You can always change your choice from this page.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary cookies will prevent signing in.
